Shepherd Protection Services is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What we do
- Text and background colors are chosen to meet WCAG contrast requirements
- Every page can be navigated with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link
- Images have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers
- Form fields have visible labels, and errors are announced to assistive technology
- Pages adapt to phones, tablets, zoom up to 200% and the dark mode setting on your device
- Animations are limited and respect the "reduce motion" setting
Ongoing work
We test the website with automated tools and keyboard-only navigation, and we review new content before it is published. Some third-party tools, such as hiring platforms we link to, are outside our control.
