Patrol, alarm response and remote monitoring

Regular, unpredictable checks on your property, without paying for an officer all night.

Mobile patrol services

Unpredictable patrol visits that keep trouble away, without the cost of a full-time officer.

Our marked, camera-equipped patrol vehicles visit your property on a randomized schedule, so would-be intruders can never predict when an officer will arrive. Each visit is GPS-tracked and logged, and you receive a report every morning showing exactly when we were there and what we found.

Mobile patrol is ideal for properties that need regular attention overnight or on weekends but not a dedicated post: office parks, retail centers, HOAs, construction sites and vacant buildings.

What's included

  • Randomized day, night and weekend patrols
  • Exterior and interior building checks
  • Lock-up and unlock services
  • Parking lot and garage enforcement
  • Vacant property and perimeter inspections
  • Alarm response between scheduled visits
  • Photo-documented incident reports
  • Daily activity reports by email and client portal

Questions

How many patrol visits will my property get?

It depends on your risks and budget. Most clients choose two to six randomized visits per night, and we recommend a frequency after your free site assessment.

How do I know the patrol actually happened?

Officers scan checkpoints at your property and every visit is GPS-tracked and time-stamped. You can see each visit in your daily report and client portal.

Alarm response

When your alarm goes off at 2 a.m., a licensed officer checks it, so you don't have to.

Shepherd's 24/7 dispatch sends a licensed patrol officer to verify alarm activations at your property. The officer inspects the building, secures any open doors or windows, and contacts law enforcement if there is evidence of a break-in.

You receive a report with photos for every response, and verifying alarms before calling police can reduce false alarm fines and keep you and your staff out of harm's way.

What's included

  • 24/7 dispatch and officer response
  • Interior and exterior inspection
  • Securing open doors, windows and gates
  • Coordination with police and your alarm company
  • Waiting with property until keyholders or repair arrive
  • Photo-documented response reports

Questions

Who should my alarm company call?

Add Shepherd's 24/7 dispatch line to your alarm company's call list. When an alarm triggers, they notify us and we send an officer.

Can you combine alarm response with patrols?

Yes. Most alarm response clients also add one or more scheduled patrols per night, which deters break-ins before they happen.

Remote video monitoring

Trained operators watch your cameras live and act the moment something looks wrong.

Shepherd operators monitor your existing security cameras in real time during the hours you choose. When they see a person or vehicle where it shouldn't be, they can issue a live voice warning through compatible speakers, dispatch a patrol officer and call police with a verified, in-progress report.

Verified reports from a live operator are taken seriously by police, and monitoring costs far less than an officer on site all night. Every event is logged with video clips and time stamps.

What's included

  • Live monitoring during the hours you choose
  • Voice warnings through compatible speakers
  • Patrol officer dispatch when needed
  • Police notification with a verified report
  • Video clips and time-stamped event logs
  • Morning summary of overnight activity

Questions

Can you use the cameras I already have?

Usually, yes. We review your camera system during the free site assessment and tell you whether it can connect to our monitoring, or what would need to change.

What happens when operators see something?

They follow the response plan we agree on with you, which can include a voice warning, a call to your contact, a patrol dispatch or a call to police.

Vacant property checks

Scheduled inspections that keep empty buildings and lots secure, documented and insurable.

An empty property can be broken into, stripped or occupied within days. Shepherd officers visit on the schedule you choose to check doors, windows, locks, fences and signs of entry, inside and out.

Every visit is GPS-verified and photographed, so owners, lenders, receivers and insurers can see the property's condition at any time. If we find a problem, we secure what we can and call you right away.

What's included

  • Exterior and interior inspections
  • Door, window, lock and fence checks
  • Checks for water leaks, damage and utility problems
  • Removal of trespassers and notice posting
  • GPS-verified, photo-documented visit reports
  • Immediate alerts when something is wrong

Questions

How often should a vacant property be checked?

It depends on the risk. Many owners start with one or two checks a day and adjust after a few weeks of reports. Some insurers set a minimum, so check your policy.

Will your reports satisfy my insurance company?

Our reports include dates, times, GPS locations and photos, which most insurers accept. Ask your insurer what they need and we will match it.

Opening and locking up buildings

A licensed officer opens your building in the morning and secures it at night, on schedule.

Shepherd officers unlock and lock your building, gates or parking areas at set times, so your staff don't have to arrive first or leave last. At lock-up, officers check that everyone has left, doors and windows are secured, lights are off and the alarm is set.

Each opening and closing is GPS-verified and time-stamped, and you are notified if anything is out of place, such as an unlocked door or a person still inside after hours.

What's included

  • Scheduled unlocking and locking of buildings and gates
  • Walk-through to make sure the building is empty
  • Door, window and light checks
  • Arming and disarming alarms
  • GPS-verified, time-stamped records
  • Notification of anything unusual

Questions

Do I have to give you keys?

Yes. Keys and alarm codes are kept secure, signed out by authorized officers only and tracked in our records.

Can this be combined with patrols?

Yes. Many clients add one or more patrol visits between closing and opening for overnight protection.
