Are your officers licensed and insured?
Yes. Shepherd holds California PPO License No. 479840. Every officer is registered with the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, and armed officers hold current firearms permits. We carry $1M+ general liability, workers' compensation and commercial auto coverage, and can issue a certificate of insurance naming you as additional insured.
Should I choose armed or unarmed officers?
Honestly, most properties don't need armed officers. We'll only recommend them if the site assessment shows a real need, and we'll explain why in writing.
How quickly can you start?
With 24 hours' notice we can usually provide up to 40 officers, with 8 hours' notice up to 20, and with 4 hours' notice up to 10, depending on your location and distance from our teams. We confirm exactly what we can provide when you call. See our client service policy.
How will I know my property was patrolled?
You'll see it for yourself. Every patrol is GPS-tracked and time-stamped, you get a report every morning, and we alert you right away if anything happens.
What contract terms do you offer?
Choose month-to-month (end anytime with 30 days' written notice), annual (a fixed 12-month term) or year-to-year (renews automatically, and we remind you before each renewal). Pricing is itemized in every proposal. Read our client service policy.
